Lemongrass Mint Tea
If you come to our house this Winter and order the house tea, you’ll be getting a pot of this lemongrass and mint concoction I just whipped up. There certainly is plenty to go around, and it is absolutely my new favorite tea.
Harmony Valley sent 4 bunches of lemongrass this year. If you’ve ever cooked with lemongrass, you know that you really don’t need a ton, so I decided to dry most of it, and try making something similar to Sara’s & my favorite tea — The Republic of Tea’s Lemon Wintergreen. I think ours is better.
Lemongrass Mint Tea
Note: This recipe makes a lot, so feel free to cut it in half, or make the whole batch & give some away as a gift.
4 – 5 Cups dried lemongrass
1 1/2 Cups dried spearmint
1 1/2 Cups dried peppermint
3/4 Cup dried lemon peel
1/2 Cup dried rose hips
Toss all ingredients together. Steep about 2 tsp per cup for delicious tea. It’s very good with a touch of honey.
